We really enjoyed using a GoPro camera during our recent holiday at Hahei beach. We have always spotted an eagle ray from time to time during our snorkeling adventures over the years, but this year we spotted heaps! We managed to snap most of our encounters on video, and edited them all together.

We had so much fun snorkeling at Hahei earlier this year, we wanted to make the most of the last few weeks of summer weather and squeeze in one more snorkeling trip. We recently visited the Goat Island marine reserve, and spotted a great assortment of marine life. I’m still getting the hang of filming underwater with a GoPro camera (Hero 9 model) but it is great to be able to share what we saw with friends and family.

For many years, our family has spent time over the summer at Hahei beach – but this was the first year with a GoPro underwater camera! I have always loved snorkeling, but it’s hard to really capture the experience with still photos – especially the marine life that swim away quickly. Now, we have an GoPro video camera to film our snorkeling adventures. I’m still a novice at underwater filmography, but it was so much fun!
